This series almost didn't happen due to confusion over the Kings goalie situation and in the end Saw the Misfits play with no subs. Mark Gallant, Elih Bojczuk, Jared Stork, Tristan Northey back stopped by Veteran goaltender Kevin Murray put up a good fight getting 3 goals from Elih Bojczuk, four points from Mark Gallant (2-2) and a couple fo helpers from Tristan Northey but it was not enough, fatigue took over late in the second half and the Misfits play suffered. The Kings got a hat trick from Nav Randhawa who also had three assists, Team Captain Sunny Cheema had 4 assists, Jas Sidhu and Sukh Deol each added a pair of goals and Jagdeep Banghoo had a goal and an assist. Game 1 goes to the Kings 9-5.
Game 2 saw the Misfits get their second wind. Playing their second game with no subs again, the Misfits played a game for the ages. With no subs and with one player at about 50 percent they got 4 goals and 2 assists from Elih Bojczuk, a goal and 2 assists from Mark Gallant and a goal and assist form Jared Stork., plus Goalie Kevin Murray had a stellar game to keep the Misfits in it. Cheema and Randhawa each scored twice for the Kings and Deol added a single goal, but the Misfits, flying on fumes and unwilling to crash, hung on for the historic 6-5 victory.
Game three was a tight game despite the Misfits being completely drained. Tristan Northey opened the scoring for the Misfits on a nice feed from Jared Stork and Mark Gallant added another to make it 2-2 at the half. The misfits got a little relief with the addition of Jordan Hoepner at the half, Hoepner added a couple of helpers on goals by Bojczuk and Gallant but one sub was not enough to lift the Misfits to victory. The Kings got goals from 5 different players(Randhawa, Cheema, Banghoo, Deol and Sidhu) and held on for the 5-4 victory, despite the Misfits pressing hard in the last moments of the game.
Never in league history has a team played a series with no subs and won a game to force a third game. Eventual playoff scoring leader Elih Bojczuk ended up with 14 points total and 8 goals and 3 assists in the final series. Veteran Forward Mark Gallant had monster series as well with 5 goals and 4 assists. Hats off to those 4 Mifits and their goalie for making a series out of it.
