A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that Buffalo police are investigating an allegation that Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane physically harassed two women at a downtown Buffalo bar.
The person spoke on the condition of anonymity on Friday because police have not revealed any details of their investigation.
The person said Kane allegedly grabbed the woman by the arm or shoulder early Friday morning. The person said no charges have been filed and no one has been arrested.
Buffalo's WVIB-TV first reported the investigation.
This is Kane's second run-in with trouble in six months. In March, a three-month investigation led prosecutors to rule Kane would not face a sexual assault charge because there was no evidence to support the allegation

Legendary former NHL defenseman Ray Bourque was arrested on a drunk driving charge late Friday night.
Bourque was arrested in Andover, Mass., and charged with operating under the influence after getting into an accident, Lt. Cecilia Blais told Felicia Gans of The Boston Globe.
There were no injuries in the two-car accident and Bourque was released on bail, according to Blais.

The 55-year-old played 21 seasons for the Boston Bruins and won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001. Bourque was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.

The Ottawa Senators are hoping history doesn't repeat itself.
One year after the team took forward Mike Hoffman to arbitration, the club is hoping they won't have to repeat the process with the 26-year-old - who will once again become a restricted free agent on July 1 - general manager Pierre Dorion said, according to Chris Stevenson of TSN 1200.
